Dear panel member,

Staffordshire Police would like to involve you in an important decision we have to make about the practice of recording ‘stop and account’.

The force is considering stopping the recording of stop and account and would like this decision to be informed by members of the public.

We acknowledge that it has been a very short time since our last survey, but we didn’t want to make this decision without giving you the opportunity to let us know your views.

We would be extremely grateful if you would complete and submit the questionnaire by Monday 19 ^th December 2011.

We will send you a newsletter in January to inform you about our decision around stop and account. This will also include the results of our October 2011 Survey which focused on police spending, with a summary of how these results will be used.
