How should I deal with credit and debit card fraud?
The procedure has changed. It is now the financial institutions who are the first and main point of contact for these types of offences. The first and most important step to take is to contact the bank or credit card company to advise them of the transactions.
The bank/credit card company will investigate the matter and where appropriate inform the police. If your card has been lost or stolen then you need to report that to the police who will record the crime or loss.
