Britannia Stadium

To ensure the safety of pedestrians and other road users following football matches at the Britannia Stadium, a number of procedures have been put in place by Staffordshire Police, Stoke City Football Club (Opens in new window) and Stoke-on-Trent City Council (Opens in new window).

Local fans are urged to travel to the ground on organised ‘pub buses’ or use
the shuttle service from Glebe Street in Stoke Town Centre. These buses are
given priority over all other traffic at the end of the match so are the quickest
way to leave the stadium.

Any vehicle found parking on grass verges on the A500, A50 or in the areas around the stadium will be towed away at the owners expense.

Car drivers wishing to park on any of the Stoke City FC car parks must pre-book their space before match day as there will be no turn up and pay parking on club car parks.

Official pub buses will be parked on Gordon Banks Drive, but no vehicles will be allowed to park on the side of the road near the Holiday Inn.  Pedestrians returning to the pub buses should cross south of the ‘Harvester Island’ from the new footpath.

After the Match no traffic will be allowed to use Stanley Matthews Way between
the ‘Audi Island’ and the ‘Harvester Island’ for a short period whilst pedestrians
clear the area.

ALL traffic leaving the South Car Park and all parking areas south of the Audi
garage MUST travel towards Newstead and Trentham.  Vehicles parked in the clubs North and West Car Parks will not be allowed to move out of the car parks until it’s safe to open the roads after the pedestrians have cleared the roads.

Blue Badge holders only will be allowed to park in Tony Waddington Place,
however space is limited.  Vehicles dropping and picking up supporters should use the Campbell Road or Fenton area and supporters must follow the signed pedestrian route, avoiding traffic congestion in the stadium area.
