Organisational Support
The Organisational Support Group has three main roles - to provide direct support to operational policing, to meet statutory responsibilities and coordinate force strategy and policy. It provides a wide range of services which are essential to the day-to-day running of the force - from providing vehicles, buildings and technology to ensuring staff are properly paid, trained, equipped and informed. In meeting organisational support requirements, it ensures that the force actively contributes to national initiatives, meets its legal obligations and helps to maintain professional standards and integrity.
The group also helps the force move forward and develop by setting and co-ordinating policy and strategy within its specialist areas.
The group comprises of police staff and some specialist police officers.
Corporate Communications
The force's Corporate Communications Department provides support to operational policing to help keep communities safe and reassured.
Corporate Services
Corporate Services consists of a number of specialist units that look at strategic planning and corporate support, performance review and internal communications.
Financial & Support Services
The efficient and effective management and governnance of the organisation's finances is essential to the public's confidence in Staffordshire Police.
HR & Learning and Development
In the ever- changing environment of policing, it is crucial for officers and staff to have the latest knowledge and skills.
Legal Services
The force's legal team helps us to bring offenders to justice and represent our interests.
Professional Standards
The department aims to promote, throughout Staffordshire Police, a culture of integrity, ethical behaviour and professional standards.
Technology Services
Technology Services is responsible for strategic planning, development, deployment and maintenance of all technology within the force.
