Collisions investigation
Officers from the force’s collision investigation unit (CIU) provide expertise at scenes of fatal and serious road traffic collisions.
Their evidence is used at inquests, and in criminal and civil court cases.
CIU data helps to identify collision trends and hotspots and, ultimately, can help to make Staffordshire’s roads safer.
