Operational Communications
The Operational Communications Department is the first point of contact for callers who telephone Staffordshire Police for assistance or to access services.
Justice Services
The force’s Justice Services supports operational policing.
Operational Cadre
The Cadre's operational command is made up of Chief Inspectors and Inspectors.
Air Operations Unit
The Air Operations Unit provides support to Staffordshire Police and West Mercia Constabulary from a purpose-built base at Wolverhampton Airport.
Alarms Administration Unit
The Staffordshire Police Alarms Administration Office is responsible for managing Policy relating to Security systems, which include intruder, personal attack alarms and remotely monitored Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
Collisions investigation
Officers from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) provide expertise at scenes of fatal and serious road traffic collisions.
Major Investigations
The Major Investigation Department (MID) was established in 2003 and is responsible for conducting serious crime enquiries.
Road Policing Team
The main aims of the Road Policing Team include the reduction of casualties and denying criminals the use of the roads.
Tactical Planning
The force’s Tactical Planning Unit (TPU) specialises in resilience, contingency and operational planning.
Tactical Support
The force’s Tactical Support Team (TST) includes officers trained in a number of specialisms.
