Intelligence
The department has three key elements - Covert, Intelligence and Analysis/Research.
The covert area of business proactively investigate offenders who are committing offences across divisional and force boundaries as defined by the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
The aim of the Intelligence team is to provide real time support for the management of threat and risk to both individuals and the force.
The research and analytical resource is closely aligned to intelligence officers within the northern, southern and central hubs as well as informing the force of risk from within the Strategic Profiling Unit.
