Crime Mapping
You can now get a much simpler and detailed snapshot of local crime levels where you live from our new interactive Crime Mapping site (Opens in new window).
Crime maps put you in the picture about what’s happening in your neighbourhood. They are available for every one of the force’s 136 Neighbourhood Management Areas (NMA's), allowing you to view figures at a highly localised level.
The maps, updated monthly, show crime statistics over the last three months compared to the same period the year before. As well as offering comparative figures for burglary, robbery, vehicle crime, violence and anti-social behaviour, they show crime trends over the past 12 months.
They also include links to the local officers responsible for dealing with the things that matter to you in your community, how to contact them and details of local police meetings in your area.
The system has been designed as part of the force's plans to build public trust and confidence in local policing. By providing very local information, residents can put crime figures into perspective so that they feel safer and more confident where they live. It will also make the force more accountable by showing information in an easy-to-use format.
