The LGBT Network is a local community organisation set up to support people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
Originally made up of volunteers, the Network has grown into a recognised organisation that represents the views of the LGBT community. In 2009 the LGBT Network restructured and appointed an elected board of trustees and is currently in the process of becoming a registered charity.
The Network not only works with organisations such as local councils and the police, but organises a variety of community groups including the Panthers Badminton Group, Sanctuary Stoke and of course of Stoke Pride. The LGBT Networks vision is the removal of discrimination against LGBT people in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and to improve peoples quality of life.
