Alert messages are tailored to the individual profile of the company - for instance a warning about stolen prescription pads would only be sent to stores with pharmacies.
Alternatively, it could be a warning about fake designer items which would only be sent to clothes shops. In both cases it is helpful for businesses to know about cases like this as soon as possible.
