Burglary
Being a victim of house burglary is fortunately rare.
Unfortunately on occasions the burglar's task is made easier by the absence of suitable locks and security devices and residents failing to use necessary measures to make their homes safe and secure.
Most burglaries are committed by opportunist thieves. For example, when a window has been left open and insecure, or a door unlocked, it is vulnerable to a potential intruder.
