Arson Control
Arson is the number one cause of fire in the UK.
Its effects on communities are significant. Lives are lost and communities severely affected as homes, schools, workplaces and open spaces are blighted by fires started on purpose.
Deliberate fire setting also has implications for the environment and our heritage and can affect the quality of people's daily lives.
The new Arson Control Forum website (Opens in new window) is a source of information for both the public and agencies involved in arson reduction. It provides examples of good practice from across the country, hosts Government research into Arson and provides information and updates from the forum.
The website will also act as a means of posting and answering questions, and as a virtual community to anyone who is interested in arson reduction. Links to partner organisations, other useful websites and sources of data are also available.
