Assistant Chief Constable Jane Sawyers
Jane joined Staffordshire Police in 1984 and during her early career served in Stoke, Longton, Newcastle, Lichfield, Tamworth and Cannock.
Rising through the ranks she has worked as a chief inspector in the force's Call Handling Unit, Complaints and Discipline and as Chief Constable's Staff Officer, all at Police Headquarters.
As a superintendent she has held posts in the Professional Standards Department and Human Resources Departments at Police Headquarters, and at was the deputy divisional commander at North Staffordshire Division.
Jane is currently undertaking the role of Assistant Chief Constable, responsible for Crime and Operations Policing.
In her spare time, Jane officiates at athletics meetings. She lives with her husband, daughter and two sons in the Trentham area.
