Specials weekend 2010
Our Specials were out in force during a Specials weekend which ran from 19 to 21 November 2010, and were involved in a range of duties to make our communities even safer.
On Friday (19 November 2010), shifts across the county focused on preventing and dealing with anti-social behaviour in neighbourhoods and town centres including the management of key community events.
Saturday (20 Nov) saw high-visibility patrols out and about in our shopping centres, liaising with retailers and shoppers, advising them on secuity and personal safety. Safer Nights operations followed when the night time economy kicked into life. Our officers made sure that pub and club goers were safe and sound and curbed any problems caused by people drinking excess alcohol.
Sunday (21 Nov) was road safety day and the Specials were out providing advice on vehicle care and safety and reducing speeding on Staffordshire's roads.
