How to make a complaint
Diversity
Staffordshire Police strives to deliver its services effectively and efficiently to all sections of the diverse community it serves, and in particular without unfair or unlawful discrimination regarding age, disability, gender/transgender, race religion/belief or sexual orientation.
So that the force can understand whether it is consistently achieving this objective and also to meet its legal obligations in respect of diversity, we ask for the cooperation of complainants in providing brief information about:
- their date of birth
- whether they consider themselves to be disabled (this does not include questions about their disability)
- their gender
- their ethnic or racial origins
- their sexual orientation
When asking these questions, the member of staff taking the complaint appreciates they are personal matters, but he/she is fulfilling a legal responsibility and an organisational requirement. Any information provided which relates to named individuals rather than purely non-attributable statistical data, will be treated in the strictest confidence.
